Fresh Guacamole

Ingredients

Units:
  • 3 item ripe avocados
  • 30 ml lime juice
  • 60 g red onion, finely diced
  • 100 g tomato, diced
  • 15 g fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 15 g jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
  • 3 g salt
  • 1 g ground cumin

Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.

  2. 2

Add the lime juice immediately to prevent browning and mash the avocados with a fork to your desired consistency - chunky or smooth.

  3. 3

Fold in the diced red onion, tomato, cilantro, minced garlic, and jalapeño pepper.

  4. 4

Season with salt and cumin, then mix gently to combine all ingredients.

  5. 5

Taste and adjust seasoning, adding more salt, lime juice, or jalapeño as desired.

  6. 6

Serve immediately or press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent browning if storing.

  7. 7

If storing, consume within 24 hours for best quality and flavor.

Chef's Note

"This guacamole recipe is my go-to crowd-pleaser - perfectly balanced with fresh lime and just enough jalapeño kick. Serve immediately with warm tortilla chips or use it to elevate your tacos, and don't be afraid to adjust the heat level to your taste!"
