Baked Brie with Honey and Walnuts

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

Place the brie wheel in the center of the prepared baking dish. If desired, you can score the top of the brie in a crosshatch pattern with a sharp knife for better honey absorption.

  3. 3

Scatter the chopped walnuts evenly over the top of the brie wheel.

  4. 4

Drizzle 2 tablespoons of honey over the brie and walnuts, reserving the remaining honey for serving.

  5. 5

Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves over the top and add a few cracks of black pepper.

  6. 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until the brie is soft and gooey in the center but still holds its shape. The cheese should jiggle slightly when the dish is gently shaken.

  7. 7

Remove from the oven and drizzle with the remaining honey while still hot.

  8. 8

Let cool for 2-3 minutes before serving to allow the cheese to set slightly and prevent burns.

  9. 9

Serve immediately with crackers, sliced baguette, apple slices, or fresh grapes.

Chef's Note

"This elegant appetizer is my go-to when I need to impress guests without spending hours in the kitchen—the warm, melty brie paired with crunchy walnuts and sweet honey creates an irresistible combination that looks gourmet but comes together in just 25 minutes."
