Crispy Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers
Ingredients
- • 12 item jalapeño peppers
- • 225 g cream cheese, softened
- • 60 g shredded cheddar cheese
- • 2 tsp garlic powder
- • 1 tsp onion powder
- • 1 tsp smoked paprika
- • 12 item bacon strips
- • 1 sprinkle salt to taste
- • 1 sprinkle black pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
Slice each jalapeño in half lengthwise and carefully remove the seeds and membranes using a small spoon (wear gloves to protect your hands).
- 3
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix until well combined.
- 4
Season the cheese mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- 5
Using a small spoon or piping bag, fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture, slightly mounding it on top.
- 6
Cut each bacon strip in half crosswise. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with a half strip of bacon, securing with a toothpick if needed.
- 7
Arrange the wrapped poppers on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
- 8
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.
- 9
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving to avoid burns from the hot cheese filling.

Chef's Note
"The key to perfect poppers is removing enough seeds to control the heat level - leave a few for spice lovers! For a party-ready presentation, arrange them on a platter with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping."
