Pan-Seared Pork Chops with Garlic Herb Butter
Instructions
- 1
Remove pork chops from refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring to room temperature
- 2
Pat the pork chops completely dry with paper towels and season generously on both sides with salt and pepper
- 3
Heat olive oil in a large cast iron or heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering
- 4
Place pork chops in the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes without moving them to develop a golden crust
- 5
Flip the chops and cook for another 4-5 minutes until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C)
- 6
Reduce heat to low and add butter to the pan along with minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary
- 7
Tilt the pan and baste the pork chops with the melted herb butter for 1-2 minutes
- 8
Transfer chops to a plate and let rest for 5 minutes before serving, spooning the garlic herb butter over top...
Chef's Note
"These restaurant-style pork chops are my go-to weeknight dinner - the garlic herb butter creates an incredible crust while keeping the meat juicy. Don't skip letting them rest; it makes all the difference!"
