Beef Rissoles
Ingredients
- • 500 g ground beef
- • 60 g breadcrumbs
- • 1 item onion, finely diced
- • 1 item egg
- • 2 cloves garlic
- • 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
- • 30 g fresh parsley, chopped
- • 5 g salt
- • 2 g black pepper
- • 30 ml vegetable oil
Instructions
- 1
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, diced onion, egg, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly with your hands until well combined.
- 2
Shape the mixture into 8 oval-shaped patties, about 2 inches long and 1/2 inch thick. Place on a plate and refrigerate for 10 minutes to help them hold their shape.
- 3
Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the rissoles in the pan, leaving space between each one.
- 4
Cook for 4-5 minutes on the first side until golden brown and crispy. Flip carefully and cook for another 4-5 minutes until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Alternatively, after flipping, you can finish them in a preheated 375°F oven for 5-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- 5
Remove from heat and let rest on a paper towel-lined plate for 2 minutes before serving. Serve hot with mashed potatoes and gravy, or cold in sandwiches.
